MedTec organizes AI Prompts workshop

MedTec, in collaboration with the Karachi Press Club, organized a one-day training workshop on Artificial Intelligence (AI) for journalists at the KPC.

The workshop was aimed at equipping journalists with the knowledge and skills to use AI prompts engineering in their work. The speakers included KPC President Saeed Sarbazi, Secretary Shoaib Ahmed, Sindh Information Department Director Films Hizbullah Memon, former KPC Secretary and renowned senior journalist and MedTec head Arman Sabir, senior KPC member and trainer who has worked for various TV channels Rizwan Awan, and KPC Skills Development Committee Secretary Saqib Saghir.

A large number of participants, including electronic and print media professionals, social media influencers, and women, attended the workshop. The participants were informed that by using AI tools, a journalist can improve his work in a better way by using less of his time.

Trainer Rizwan Awan said that the use of artificial intelligence in the media is gradually increasing rapidly and its far-reaching effects are also coming to the fore. It has become necessary for media professionals to use artificial intelligence to achieve their goals along with increasing their abilities and qualifications. In this regard, by using AI through the internet, their abilities can be further enhanced.

KPC President Saeed Sarbazi said that through such workshops at the Karachi Press Club, we inform our members about modern technology and provide guidance on the use of technology that has come in the modern era.

KPC Secretary Shoaib Ahmed thanked the participants and trainer for participating in the workshop and said that it has been the tradition of the Karachi Press Club that we try to keep our journalists updated from time to time in view of the challenges of the modern era. Journalists can improve their work only by being in tune with modern requirements. He said that preparing oneself according to modern requirements is the need of the hour. He said that the Karachi Press Club is working for the promotion of artificial intelligence and is organizing seminars, workshops and training sessions in this regard.

Hizbullah Memon said that my association with the Karachi Press Club will continue to be the same in the future. He said that he has been performing his duties in the Sindh Information Department for 35 years. He said that in the era of information technology, we are also trying to adapt our institution to modern requirements. With the same speed with which every work is being accelerated in the society, journalists will also have to move forward in tune with modern technology. The Sindh Information Department is always ready to enhance the skills of journalists. Such workshops provide an opportunity for journalists as well as ourselves to learn. The organization of an AI workshop by the Karachi Press Club to enhance the skills of journalists is the need of the hour.

Arman Sabir said that we will continue to organize such workshops for our journalist brothers and content creators. He thanked the KPC President, Secretary, Trainer and participants and said that the Skills Development Committee of the Karachi Press Club is doing a good job in enhancing the skills of journalists. He said that journalists can also benefit from the Sindh Information Department and the problems faced by working journalists during field work can be resolved together.

A question-and-answer session was also held at the AI workshop, and at the end, commemorative shields were presented to trainer Rizwan Awan and guests by the Karachi Press Club.
